How to reduce breakout skin

I have sensitive skin problems and for several years my skin was like this. I would like to ask doctor it is okay if I take supplements such as blackmores vitamin for my skin and body or is there another way to reduce breakouts on my face? I used to take antibiotics for acne but it didn’t seem to work. Thank you.

Greetings. Thank you for your questions.

First and foremost, we truly understand your concerns regarding your symptoms. For your information acne may have multifactorial causes such as:

  • Increase in sebum production

  • Infection by bacteria

  • Hormonal problems such as polycystic ovarian syndrome

Hence to treat your acne efficiently, the causes need to be sort out first and treated accordingly. Meanwhile, taking supplements is not a problem as long as you’re taking it according to the instruction given. However, if you wish by treating your skin problem specifically by taking the supplement, I wouldn’t venture to say it is a way for it.

On top of that, treatment of problematic skin is not a one off treatment. I would advise you to keep follow up with your doctor to get appropriate treatment.
