Hi, I’m a 26 year old women, with cystic acne and bad acne scarring. Can I use topicil solution? If yes, do I apply moisturiser after using topicil? My skin was okay before, and I am frustrated due to this. Currently I am using the nano white range, should I change my products?

Greetings! Thank you for your questions.

First and foremost, we truly understand your concerns regarding your symptoms and other health problems you might be facing. For your information, acne breakouts are caused by blocked pores which can be blocked by oil, dead skin, or a bacterial infection. They can be driven by several factors which includes:

  • Excess oil production on sebaceous glands or excessive consumption of oily food (fried in particular).
  • Clogged hair follicles by oil or dead skin.
  • Poor skin hygiene which cause bacterial infection
  • Hormonal factors: excessive secretion of androgens.

We suggest you to do the following tips :

  • Prevent eating fried food, refined sugars, and fast food.
  • Maintain good facial and general hygiene
  • Clean your bedsheets, towels and anything that comes in frequent contact with your face
  • Prevent spicy food
  • Stay hydrated and moisturize your face sufficiently.

If the acne does not heal, it requires follow-up examination to identify whether it is actually a problem of acne skin, or some other problems such as:

  • Foliculitis is an inflammation of the hair follicles
  • Dermatitis
  • Infectious diseases such as dengue fever, HIV, and chickenpox.
  • Allergic reactions to some drugs
  • Disease of the hair follicles is urticaria
  • Vasculitis

Get that perfect skin with the right skin care.

Therefore, to identify the real cause and determine the best treatment of your problem that you are facing, we need more information and you need to undergo physical examination. In order to get a better diagnosis and conclusion of your problem, you are advised to see a doctor as soon as possible.
