LEFT ARM PAIN without chest pain or shortness of breath

I’m 22 yrs old, female. This week, i have been feeling pain in my left arm. But i can endure it, i can move it. It comes and goes esp when i’m preoccupied with other things but it hurts when i lie on it. I am scared what if it is vaccine related? It has been 90 days since i received covid19 vac tho. But i suspect my sleeping position cuz i sleep on my left forearm or maybe because I read on my phone lying on my left side holding my phone using my left hand for like… a whole day

Good morning,
I understand your concerns regarding pain in your left arm. We will try to assist you.

For your information, pain in your left arm without any chest pain or shortness of breath can be to several factors such as :

  • Sleeping on your arm too long resulting in decrease of blood flow to your arm
  • Tendinitis, Tendons are the flexible bands of tissue that connect bones and muscles. When tendons are
    inflamed, it’s called tendinitis.
  • Sprain. Sprain is when you stretch or tear a ligament.
  • Pinched Nerve. A pinched nerve is one that’s compressed or inflamed. It can be a result of a herniated disk due to trauma or a wear-and-tear injury.

As for pain due to vaccine related, it is unlikely since it has been 90 days since you have received the vaccine.
