About Allergic rhinitis and covid-19 vaccine

Hi, I wanna signup for Covid-19 vaccine, but I heard that people who have severe allergies are not qualify for this vaccine. So I know I have Allergic rhinitis almost every morning, which I always wake up with sneeze and some runny nose. So my question is it ok to covid-19 vaccine for people who have allergic rhinitis?

Hi and thank you for asking us

Through the question and statement you gave on the above section, i completely understand your concern over this matter. For your information, patients with allergies to other medications, foods or inhalants can receive the COVID-19 vaccine with normal precautions. This typically includes a 15-minute observation period after the injection based on CDC guidelines.

If you had experienced any allergic to injections and vaccination before, your vaccination should be followed by a 30-minute observation period in a setting where personnel, equipment and supplies are present to manage anaphylaxis if needed.

It’s recommended that if you’ve had an allergic reaction any of the ingredients in the vaccine, you should not get it. If you had an allergic reaction to the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, the CDC doesn’t recommend getting the second dose. But overall, having allergies doesn’t exclude you from getting the vaccine.
