Arm Pain Months After Covid vaccination

Hi I am a woman in my early 60’s and my first vaccination date is on 20 June but till now I still feel the pain on my vaccinated area of my left arm and sometimes the pain makes me felt so uncomfortable when I was sleeping. The pain does not disappear gradually because now I’m still experiencing a significance of pain. I am a TB patient and I am now taking medicines as well and my diet is good, not much sugary and oily food. Everyday I have light exercise at home. May I know why is this pain happening for so long and how can I do to relieve it? Thanks

Hello, thank you for your enquiry.

For your information, your pain may not because of the Covid vaccination. The side effects of vaccine are less likely to last for more than 1 week. Therefore, your pain over the left arm may due to other causes, such as local infection, muscle inflammation, muscle sprain, vascular disease, nerve pain, referral pain due to thoracic problem and so on.

Please do refer this matter to a doctor for a detailed history taking, undergo relevant examinations and investigations to find out the real cause and diagnosis. A proper treatment plan can only be formed after we know the exact cause for your symptoms.

For more information, you may contact us for an online consultation for further assistance as well.
