Close contact but got vaccine appointment
Hi doc, I was identifed as close contact today to a covid +ve friend that I met on 30th April 2021. Since I have voluntary registered for AZ vaccine program, my chedule is on 18th May 2021. Am I allowed to go for the appointment, or should I have to wait for quarantine day to complete?
met my friend on 30th April, he officially identified positive on 7th May, his quarantine over on 17th May, my vaccine day is on 18th May.

Thank you for your question. Based on your complaint, you are now just having flu. For your information, if your colleague is positive for COVID-19, you are then called a direct contact of a COVID-19 patient. However, you may answer the quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories. An instruction will be given at the end of the quiz. Please act accordingly.
You may consult a MOH doctor by clicking Ask Doctor at the Ministry of Health website (COVID-19 Portal) to ask any health issues related to COVID-19 starting from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
