I tested positive for covid on 15 June, and after quarantine for 10 days, I have received the release letter from CAC. All had been well until yesterday morning I woke up with a sore throat, and then I developed a fever at night and is ongoing until now, This morning I checked my throat and noticed my tonsils were swollen and have white streaks, could this be covid related?
Hi and thank you for you question.
I understand that you were Covid-19 positive and have recovered.
You are enquiring your current symptoms are related to Covid-19.
For your information, after recovering from Covid-19,your body would produce natural antibodies against Covid-19.
Although this is the issue,as the virus mutates, new variants which are stronger form.
Thus we still need to adhere to the current new norm of our masks and proper hand washing technique.
As for the current symptoms that you are having,There could be a few cause to what you are experiencing.
This involves bacterial tonsillo-pharnygitis,viral tonsillitis and acute pharyngitis.
Other differentials would include more severe forms such as scarlet fever and EBV which is highly unlikely.
It is difficult to give a proper diagnosis as a proper diagnosis requires a doctor’s examination.
