My mum has back numbness and feeling hot/warm on her back

My mother is 66 years old, for these recent 2-3 years, she has some numbness on her back, arms, hands, feet. We brought her to check at specialist, government hospital, private doctors but the result was she is OK, we were worried she might get stroke but after several checking, doctor didn’t found any sign of stroke. They recommend to consume calcium, glucosamine.
However, recently she feels very hot sensation on her back, and continue to her arms and legs, which made her keep sweating.
My mom has back problem (humpback), and not is this caused by that? And is this a nerve problem? Is that any medication that can relief her ?

First and foremost, we truly understand your concerns regarding your mother’s symptoms and other health problems. From the complaints, we believe that the back numbness experienced may have multifactorial causes such as:

  • Tension or spasm of back muscles
  • Nerve problem
  • Hormone changes - although they rarely cause back pain, they can occur in some cases
  • Spinal disc issues - such as “slipped disc”
