Pain around knee after kicking too hard in the air

I was kicking my leg in the air too hard because of anger that I was experiencing. The next morning I woke up with pain more on the medial side of my left knee(at the lower border of kneecap but medial side of kneecap). If I give a firm touch to the bone at the medial side of kneecap, I can feel slight pain. It doesn’t restrict my daily movement and also no any other symptoms. The pain is of aching dull pain but not too painful and sometimes I can feel the pain at my lower leg and sometimes the muscle on top of my kneecap. Will this pain go away on its own?
