I am having coughing even after seeing doctor and finished my antibiotics. It’s now almost 2 weeks, all my runny nose, sore throat are getting better but only left with cough.
In fact coughing is getting worse and the tightness in chest can be felt. Should I just get something like Prospan or Benadryl instead? Or should I be worried for covid?
Thank you for your question. I understand that you are worried about the risk of COVID-19 infection.
For your information, it may take time for cough to completely resolve following an infection. Nevetheless, if you start to notice worsening of cough along with difficulty breathing please revisit a doctor. Screening test for COVID should be done based on your risk profile. In order to identify your level of risk profile, You are encouraged to answer the quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories.
You may consult a MOH doctor by clicking Ask Doctor at the Ministry of Health website (COVID-19 Portal) to ask any health issues related to COVID-19 starting from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
