Recovered Covid-19 patient still need to go for swab test?

Hi,

what if I recovered from Covid-19 as I already back home from quarantine center. but unfortunately a month later I’ve been close contact to one covid-19 positive person, do i need to go for swab test or the antibody in me still working and therefore i no need to go for swab test?

For your information, COVID-19 screening is usually subjected to patients that have experienced a fever or considered a potential close contact with a positive case. Anyhow, we understand your worries especially towards a potential asymptomatic COVID-19 infection.

For your information, once our body has previously been exposed to the COVID-19 virus and later diagnosed to successfully healed from the infection. It usually means we are potentially immuned to the COVID-19. However different individual has different ways its immune system adapts & function optimally. Hence, unfortunately, there have been numerous reports of reinfection from previously cured patients.

Whether or not it is due to their respective complexity of the individual immune system or due to the different mutations & variant of COVID-19 that are circulating around the society or otherwise, further investigation is currently ongoing. Until then, you are advised to take a swab test if were indicated by the medical authorities.
