Scared of getting pregnant

Will my patner get pregnant after taking morning after pill after 4 days we had sex and supposed to be the second day after we had sex she should be on period but her period dnt came

Greetings. Thank you for your questions.

First and foremost, we truly understand your concerns. From your complaints, we believe that your partner had been taking morning after pill only after 4 days of unprotected sex. For your information, morning after pill is an emergency contraceptive pill that are meant to be taken after an unprotected sex. It is expected to be prevent 95% of pregnancies if taken within the first 24 hours, decreasing to 58% if taken between 48 hours and 72 hours. However, the effectiveness is unknown if it was taken more than 72 hours after unprotected sex.

There might be possibility that she is pregnant if her menstrual cycle is late. But, bear in mind that, menstrual cycle is not usually fixed every month. I would suggest for you guys to wait until 2 weeks. If her period haven’t come that time then she is advised to do urine pregnancy test (UPT).
