Shortness of breath-chect felt heavy and sometimes experience dry coughing due to this. No fever, no flu, no cough comes with sputum

Good day Doc, I am 31 y/o living alone in KL area. I have experience shortness of breath for a week now. I have no fever, no cough and flu. I never traveled out of country and never contact with patient with Covid-19 before. I have checked via this page before about this but the answer was only to monitor these symptom and continue taking precaution-wash hand/etc…But now I felt like its getting difficult to breath normally. Should I get tested? Thank you.

Greetings!

I understand your worry since you are suffering from shortness of breath and chest pain. These symptoms can be caused by other health problems such as:

  • Other bacterial or viral infection
  • anemia

As you have taken the test and result is minimal, you should be checked for other conditions apart from COVID-19. You need to go for a consultation to exclude the above conditions.

You may consult a MOH doctor by clicking Ask Doctor at the Ministry of Health website (COVID-19 Portal) to ask any health issues related to COVID-19 starting from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

After 5.00 pm till 12.00 am, please direct your enquiries to our DoctorOnCall website at this link https://www.doctoroncall.com.my/tanya/.

Thank you for your enquiry.
