Covid 19 Simptom inquiry
Hi Doc. I’m currently working in a call centre. Last week on Monday (30/3/2020) i had an interaction with one of our officemate, just to hand over a work, which we found out a few days later she’s a 2nd contact to Covid 19 patient. The patient is her siblings - close contact, alrdy confirmed +ve Covid 19. Those who are working on the same floor with the 2nd contact has been self quarantine at home since Thursday until today, however in my case since we were not fully informed who’s the 2nd contact, i had travel to my fertility clinic to proceed with my IVF transfer process on 4/4 & my husband went to work until Friday 3/4. I had a on and off fever since Monday to Friday 36-37.2. On 1/4 onwards,My tongue feels bitter all the time, but i can still eat. Should i go for covid 19 test?

We understand your worries especially with the development of symptoms indicative but not exclusive of COVID-19.
For you information, WHO listed common symptoms for COVID-19 infection as follows:
- Fever (morea than 37.5 degrees celcius)
- Fatigue
- Cough
- Aches and pains
- Sorethroat
- Headaches
- Shortness of breath
As listed above, the symptoms are very vague and mimic other disease as well. Hence, the needs of screening test depends on your risk profile.
