Not recovering from Gastric Sleeve with Intestinal Bypass & Hiatal Hernia Surgery

Hi. I’m at my wit’s end.
Husband checked in to hospital on Friday 30.10.20 for the scheduled surgery on Sat 31
10.20 morning. They did xray and blood test. All normal.
After surgery, doctor said it went smoothly. But my husband feels really bad gas cramps and nausea. He tasted bad taste in his mouth. On Sunday 1.11.20, Doctor said he can try taking warm milk. He did. After getting pain killer during midday, my hisband puked out black juices. Again during the night. Monday 2.11.20, they did xray and saw swelling of the bowel. They had him on lain killer meds, gastric meds, antibiotic and paracetamol thw whole time. Second surgery scheduled for Tuesday 3.11.20 to fix the swelling bowel.
After second surgery, doctor said it went smoothly again. He said there was a minor bleed from the forst surgery so there was some old blood around the mesentery stitches. The bowel got swollen because there was a kink to it earlier. He fixed the kink, redid the mesentry stitches and also redid the sutures of the intestinal bypass. He said hernia and sleeve sutures are fine. My husband SHOULD feel immediately better after the second surgery. NO HE DID NOT. He still feels gas cramps, gassy, cant pass wind. His pee is dark orange sonce after the first surgery. He felt less nausea but gassy and discomfort throughout his abdomen os still lile the first time. Now, Wednesday 4.11.20, doc said he should fwel better by now. Took him off the pain killer. During midday, husband still feels horrible. He could take sips of water but still cant pass wind. He passed motion once, hard stools.but that was it. I demanded xray and urine test, he said it’s ok…observe first. He put him on pain meds again.
Now, Thursday 5.11.20, husband woke up at 3am saying the pain is bad. Nurse gave pain meds again. I am tired of jusy waiting to observe. So my actual question is, what should i do? Can i request diff doctor? Can i get all his surgery records and get opinion of others? Should i just OBSERVE?? HELP. I really feel like something is not right. Is there a patient-rights issue here that I can exercise so that more can be done to get my husband better??
