Period or Implantation Bleeding?

I am a woman in my 20’s with an active sex life with one partner only. I got my period (bleeding) in the following dates: 8th March - 12th March, 30th March - 3rd April and 12th April - 14th April. I have also consumed the morning after pill, postinor-2 respectively on the 23rd of March and 5th of April, both being within 72 hours of supposed unprotected sexual intercourse.
I have actively read that my “period” that lasted me barely 3 days could be an implantation bleeding which would mean pregnancy no? Are the dates of my bleeding normal since I took the Pill? I took them as suggested, once per period cycle, so is there something else that is wrong?
Is it due to hormones? Or am I pregnant? I’m quite worried and I don’t really know what to do. Is there any way I can fix this? Or is this perfectly normal?

Hello, and thank you for contacting us

We truly understand your concern with regard to your current condition. However, our views would only reflect based on the description that you have brought forth into the forum.

A good family planning is the secret for a successful and happy family

For your information, it is a morning after pill. An emergency contraception is expected to prevent 85% of pregnancies. 95% of pregnancies are expected to be prevented if taken within the first 24 hours, down to 58% if taken between 48 hours and 72 hours after an unprotected intercourse.

Emergency contraceptive works by interfering with the hormones in your body - hence prevents for insemination or fertilization to occur. It is not always harmful but still has notable side effects. Albeit consuming the pill too often, will interfere with your wife’s menstrual cycle and other corresponding side effects.

For women who have frequent sexual intercourse, it is advisable to take contraceptives such as IUCD or hormone contraceptive injections other than birth control pills to prevent pregnancy for a long time. Since you have taken the first pill in less than 48 hours, then the protective effect of the drug on pregnancy (theoretically by 85% chance) still works.

For your information, menstruation will not occur if you are pregnant. During pregnancy, there is some hormonal changes that will prevent the bleeding from shedding off the menstrual wall. The menstruation will not take place for the whole 9 months of pregnancy.

Meanwhile, Implantation bleeding typically defined as a small amount of light spotting or bleeding that occurs about 10 to 14 days after conception and it is normal. Implantation bleeding is thought to happen when the fertilized egg attaches to the lining of the uterus. Implantation bleeding usually occurs around the time you would expect to have a menstrual period. However, implantation bleeding is lighter than menstrual bleeding.

Some women don’t experience implantation bleeding and others don’t notice it. It’s also possible to mistake implantation bleeding for a light period

To ensure that you are not pregnant, you can do urine test at home or you can visit any clinic for more advance test.
