Pregnant during pandemic

Hi, I am currently 32 weeks pregnant and working in Sabah. However, I have to move back to KL for good and plans to deliver there since I do not have any family members here to take care of me and current situation is taking its toll on my mental health. my flight will be on 18th april. I am fit to travel according to my doctor and have no signs and symptoms of the covid 19. Will I still need to be quarantined at the quarantine centre?

Greetings!

We understand your worries especially we’re currently in the midst of coronavirus outbreak.

As far as I know, only those who are coming back to Malaysia from abroad would be quarantine at the quarantine center. For those who are flying domestic, the order wouldn’t be applied on them unless they are found to be symptomatic.

You may consult a MOH doctor by clicking Ask Doctor at the Ministry of Health website (COVID-19 Portal) to ask any health issues related to COVID-19 starting from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.

After 5.00 pm till 12.00 am, please direct your enquiries to our DoctorOnCall website at this link DoctorOnCall Tanya.

Thank you. May you and you baby always in a good health and I wish you a safe and smooth delivery.
