For your information, before diagnosing any disease, a physical exam, individual and family medical history, blood tests, such as complete blood counts, reticulocyte count, and peripheral blood smear are needed. In some cases, bone marrow aspiration and biopsy are required as well to explicit a diagnosis. Hence, it depends to the case.
