Anemia iron deficiency

Hye I’m 23 years old woman. I just want to enquire since my 14 years old I’m facing iron deficiency anemia and often my hb level is low as range of 6 to 7. Always whenever I go to hospital or clinic they will provide me with iron tablets and vitamin c with folic acid. Once I took it almost for a month it will automatically increase to the normal range. Unfortunately within the next month and once they stop the medication it will drop back and I’m facing anemia for almost past 8 to 9 years. I just curious why did this happen.

Greetings! Thank you for your questions.

First and foremost, we truly understand your concerns regarding your symptoms and other health problems you might be facing. For your information, iron deficiency anemia means that your body doesn’t have enough iron to make red blood cells. Iron is important to help you get enough oxygen throughout your body. Your doctor will probably have you take iron supplement pills and eat foods rich in iron to treat your anemia. Most people begin to feel better after a few days of taking iron pills. But do not stop taking the pills even if you feel better. You will need to keep taking the pills for several months to build up the iron in your body.
