Blood streaks when sneezing

I am 21 years old, and when I sneezed there are blood streaks in the mucus(?). But I do not have cough. I’ve just came home from UK, and wondering if this is a covid 19 symptom and should be tested immediately?

Thank you for the question. For your information, blood streak in the mucus when sneezing could be due to:

  • Injury inside the nasal area due to digital trauma (nose picking)
  • Area inside the nasal is too dry
  • Infection
  • Allergic and non allergic rhinitis

According to WHO, the common symptoms of COVID-19 infection are:

  • Fever (more than 37.5 degrees celcius)
  • Fatigue
  • Cough
  • Aches and pains
  • Sorethroat
  • Headaches
  • Shortness of breath

Given that you have just returned from UK, you are encouraged to answer the quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories.
