My 2 year old son was having fever and subsided. I gave him another doze paracetamol at 10.30pm when no fever just to make sure fever go up. But now he is ard 35.9 degree with sweat. Is this normal or is it overdose ? Should I send him to Dr?

Hi, we are sorry for the late reply.
Thank your for reaching us on DoctorOnCall. We understand your concern regarding your son’s condition.
Our advice is to bring your child to see a doctor as soon as possible. Paracetamol is given to relieve the discomfort. We need more history and further investigation needed to be done to find out the cause of your son’s condition.
For your information, our normal body temperature is between 36.5 to 37.5 degree Celcius. Anything below or above the normal range would need to be investigated further. There are cases where it is related to thermometer reading error.
If you have any more questions or inquiries, do contact us at (DoctorOnCall) and our doctor will assist you. Thank you.
