Hi Doctor, I started noticing from last night that I’ve been experiencing a shortness of breath. This morning, I started dry coughing a little and also felt the urge to vomit. I haven’t really been exposing myself to the public, but looked up the symptoms to COVID-19 online and saw that my symptoms fit. I don’t really have any allergies too. Should I go for a risk assessment test, and is there a number I can call to determine where I should be getting one? Thanks!
Thank you for your question.
We understand your worries especially with the development of symptoms indicative but not exclusive of COVID-19 such as dry cough and shortness of breath since last night. This is worrying because you also have the urge to vomit. We provide risk assessment test below.
For you information, WHO listed common symptoms for COVID-19 infection as follows:
We are unsure why you are unable to have a good sleep that will wake you up in the middle of the night.
I would encourage you to answer this quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories. Further instructions will be given at the end of the quiz. Please act accordingly.
You may also directly visit the hospitals in this list for a COVID-19 screening test. (Designated Hospital for COVID-19). Other than that, do practice good hand hygien and wear your face mask in public.
You may consult a MOH doctor by clicking Ask Doctor at the Ministry of Health website (COVID-19 Portal) to ask any health issues related to COVID-19 starting from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
