Greetings, thank you for your question.

The answer is a general description of the problem you’re having. Please click on this link (DoctorOnCall) to speak with us.

Based on the above information, we understand your concern about the problem you’re having. For your information, GERD is a condition in which there is a reflux of your stomach acid upwards irritating the esophageal linings.

In general looking at the symptoms you are experiencing, there are some practical tips for reducing symptoms. We do not get a picture of which kind of diet are you doing, but generally GERD should not limit you from a balanced diet. Apart from that, do note that medicines alone are not enough. We recommend practicing a routine like:

  • Raise your head position while you sleep
  • Reduce caffeinated beverages
  • Reduce spicy foods
  • Divide food in small and large quantities (> 3 times a day)
  • Avoid eating before bed (3 hours)
  • Stop smoking or vape
