My question is, there is no intercourse but I did cum on her body. My wife is on her 3rd day of period btw. Is there any chances of pregnancy?

Hello, thank you for asking.

The answer is a general description of the problem you’re having. Please click on this link (DoctorOnCall) to speak with us.

Based on the above information, we understand your concern about the problem that is encountered. For your information, any unprotected sexual relationship has a risk of becoming pregnant depending on the woman’s fertility level. Fertile day is usually on day 14 of the normal menstrual cycle (28 days). Therefore, if you have intercourse during that time, the chances of getting pregnant are high. it is impossible to form an embryo.

To your knowledge, the semen contains sperm. The sperm should reach into the womb to fertilize with the ovum before forming the fetus. When a woman have her period, that means the ovum (egg) was not fertilized therefore the womb shed its lining together with the egg. Therefore, the woman most probably is not fertile during her menstruation.

For additional information and clarification, you are advised to refer to this issue further as additional information and examination are required before conclusions and treatments can be provided. Thank you
