Slight chest pain after quarantine - covid positive

Hi. I’ve tested positive on 15/5/2021 and have completed quarantine at home. Initially, I had fever, sore throat and runny nose (mild).

My sore throat did not went away and I’m still having it now. ( I used to have sore throat often) I feel something is “stuck” on my throat although I do not have phlegm. On 23/5/2021, I felt slight pain in the middle of my chest, close to my heart to be exact, usually have it when I lie on my bed. Also, I start to have pain in my ears sometimes, last for few seconds, few times a day. I do not have difficulty breathing. Oxygen saturation measured on 25/5 was 97%. I’m worry on the chest pain, is that an effect on my heart or lungs ?? What should I do to manage this?

Thanks for your question.

Typically, a second examination is needed to make sure the person has fully recovered and may no longer infect others or transmit the vrus. However, due to the increase in daily cases, it is possible that there will be changes in the SOP based on the latest instructions from the MOH. However, it is more likely that the waiting time for your second screening test will only be temporarily delayed or the waiting time will be a little longer than usual.

You can also contact the Crisis Preparedness and Response Center (CPRC) or the nearest hospital/clinic again to be sure. Apart from that, keep your hands clean as often as possible, stay away from family members or housemates for a while and comply with MCO’s SOP according to MOH guidelines.
