Frequent nosebleed on 5-year-old kids
My 5-year-old son had nosebleed 2 times last week on his right nostril. Yesterday he had it 2 times in the morning, one time in the afternoon and one time at night on the left nostril. The one at night was triggered because he asked me to remove dried mucus in his nose as he felt difficult to breathe.
This morning at 5.30am, he had another nosebleed from the left nostril again. Initially was not heavy and it stopped after 15-20mins. However, it came back again after 10 mins with heavy flow and took us very long to stop it.
May I know what is the possibility cause of nosebleed in kids and if we would like to bring him to see specialist, which specialist shall we bring him since he is only 5 years old? Shall we bring him to see a paediatrician first or see ENT specialist straight?
Thank you!
