GERD or acid reflux. I already go to the local clinic for a checkup and the doctor said i might’ve a wound in the stomach

Is it normal for an acid reflux patient to have a headache ? I have been burning pain in the chest for approximately 2 months and lately, I had difilculty fo swallow and a headache. At night i also been heating up internally, but when scan for temperature it never been up to 37 degree. Is it normal ?

According to the message, we understand that you are concern whether acid reflux can cause headaches, difficulty in swallowing, burning pain in the chest, and heating up during the night. We will try to help you.

For your information, GERD would usually elicit symptoms such as

  • burning sensation of the chest
  • chest pain
  • regurgitation
  • difficulty in swallowing
  • felt of having a lump on the neck

However, difficulty in swallowing, burning pain in the chest followed by a fever and headache also be associated with more serious issues that require immediate help, such as

  • severe esophagitis
  • viral or bacterial infections
