I’m in the mid 20 and my C reactive protein are 8.90 which is quite high. Am I at the risk of getting heart attack or any ways to reduce it? My cholesterol are within the normal range

C-Reactive Protein is an inflammatory marker that is frequently used by the hospitals to monitor if the patients has contacted with infection or inflammatory diseases. It can be raised due to infection (such as in lungs, bladder or anywhere in the body) or inflammatory process like Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Rheumatoid Arthritis and many more. CRP is not specific which means even when the value is elevated it is not known what causes it unless we know the full medical histories, physical examination and other lab results. To answer whether what is wrong with you CRP value, more information are needed as well as the indication for your CRP.
