Shortness of breathing while laying down

For your information, shortness of breath during lying down is also known as orthopnea. It can be caused by several reasons such as:
- Asthma
- Sleep apnea
- Anxiety or panic attack
It could also be due to something more serious that needs medical attention immediately such as:
- Pulmonary embolism
- Pneumonia
- Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease
- Heart failure
- High blood pressure
