Swollen Lump on neck

Hey, I realized there was a swollen tiny lump on my neck, just below my left ear around 2 months ago. i went to see a doctor and the doctor said it is a swollen lymph node and it is soft, painless and mobile hence i have got nothing to worry about. The doctor said it will prolly go down in a month but its been 2 months, i could still feel it, should i be worried? I dont feel unwell but i do stay in AC room most of the time so I wake up having dry throat and stuffy nose almost every morning.

Based on your description, lump on the neck can be caused by several factors such as:

  • Swollen neck lymph nodes - due to infection, or lymphoma
  • Cyst - sebaceous cyst (due to sweat gland blocked)
  • Blocked salivary glands - due to stones or infection
  • An abscess - an accumulation of white cells fighting infection

If condition still persist and makes you have difficulty in swallowing, chewing, fever and losing weight unintentionally, please refer to the doctor immediately or talk to us privately through this link (DoctorOnCall) as more information and examination are needed before we can draw a conclusion.
