Lethargic, constipation, knee pain

Female, 35 years old. My symptoms are:
lethargic, low mood, weakness
knee pain (taking glucosamine and chondroitin)
clicking sound on hips and sometimes one shoulder
feeling heavy
hard to concentrate
muscle stiffness especially after waking up in the morning or after sitting for a long time
constipation and slow digestion. Usually I have to do a morning walk or exercises for a bowel movement.
bloating especially in the morning and after eating certain food

I just found out myself that I am allergic to gluten and dairy last month

Thank you Dr

Hello!
Thank you for your question.

Based on the statement above, we understand your problems and are here to help you.

For your information, symptoms of low mood, lethargic, difficulty to concentrate is vague and can be caused by myriad of problem. However, based on your age group this may be due to pre-menopausal syndrome as this condition can happens as early as mid-30s. The hormonal changes can also affect bone strength, hence explains the joint problems and muscle stiffness.

Other than that, the bloating, constipation and indigestion may be caused by your underlying gluten intolerance. This is because the symptoms can recur if gluten-free diet is not practiced. Other explanation would be an underlying IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) as half of people with IBS have gluten-intolerance.

However, these diagnosis is just a suggestion. There were incomplete history of the symptoms, lack of medical history, physical examination and clinical result to come to a conclusive diagnosis.

We recommend you to seek further information from your doctor or our medical professionals via online consultation. Hope these answers have helped you.
Thank you.
