Hi my friend I think has the coronavirus but does not want to go for test now I fear that I have the virus too and I have told him to go for a test he will be refused and I don’t know what to do my chest also hurt a bit
We understand your worries especially with the development of symptoms indicative but not exclusive of COVID-19.
For you information, WHO listed common symptoms for COVID-19 infection as follows:
Fever (more than 37.5 degrees celcius)
Aches and pains
Shortness of breath
From your complain above, symptoms of chest pain alone might not indicate coronavirus infection.
However, it is difficult to distinguish coronavirus infection from other health problems that manifest almost similar symptoms. Thus, you are encouraged to answer the quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate your health status in regards to this disease. After completing this quiz, you will be classified into several categories with appropriate steps that should be taken. This initiative is to reduce crowd coming to the hospital for screening in fear of coronavirus infection as well as to avoid you going out of the house unnecessarily.
For the meantime, I would suggest you monitor your symptoms first. If it gets any worse, I would suggest you visit a doctor to find out the cause and receive appropriate treatment for it.
You may consult a MOH doctor by clicking Ask Doctor at the Ministry of Health website (COVID-19 Portal) to ask any health issues related to COVID-19 starting from 8.30 am to 5.00 pm.
After 5.00 pm till 12.00 am, please direct your enquiries to our DoctorOnCall website at this link https://www.doctoroncall.com.my/tanya/.
I would also like to take this opportunity to remind you to stay put at home and keep the social distancing. With everyone’s cooperation, I hope we can conquer this outbreak before it gets any worse. Thank you.
