doc, this is my first time and i didnt take the birth control after 72 hours… I’ve been experiencing implantation bleeding now… Is the birth control still effective if im taking it? I currently taking desolon tablet and is it effective? The ovulation is on this sunday 26/1 and i eat the desolon tablet today 29/1, is there highest chances i can get pregnant? When should i take pregnancy test? And what else can i do to prevent my pregnancy to happen?

Based on the above information, we understand your concern about the problem you’re having.For your information, Desolon is a combined oral contraceptive pill COCP that need to be taken in continous manner and it is not an emergency contraceptive pill. Thus, if you inteneded to stop pregnancy after sexual intercourse, it is better for you to take emergency contraceptive pills such as Postinor. However, postinor should be taken within 72 hours after sexual intercourse.
For further confirmation, you are advised to do self urine pregnancy test UPT. However it is best to get a doctors opinion before consuming contraceptives as it would be a more safer way for a better health .
