Sore throat with swollen tonsils

Hi, for the past week I’ve noticed that 1 side of my tonsil is inflamed and eventually after a few days my throat is now sore. I’m not sure if I should get tested or just go to a nearby Dr to get checked. I have no fever so far just slight flu
