Symptom for Covid 19
hi, i wanna ask if the fever is a must of the symptom of covid 19? because i feel tiredness, and a little bit pain on my chest, not sure if it is the bone, or the muscle, or the lung. I wanna know if is it necessary for me to call KKM to proceed.

Thank you for your question. According to WHO, the common symptoms of COVID-19 infection are:
- Fever (more than 37.5 degrees celcius)
- Fatigue
- Cough
- Aches and pains
- Sorethroat
- Headaches
- Shortness of breath
Chest pain can be caused by:
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease
- Heart problems
- Pneumonia
- Abdominal pain radiating to the chest
- Pain originating from the chest wall like rib cage, muscle and nerve pain
The symptoms of COVID-19 varies from individuals. Hence, it is not possible to give the conclusion that fever is a must have symptom. However, it is more suggestive with the presence of fever as it is a sign of infection in general.
