Worried of getting pregnant

I’m 29 and recently
On the 13th October I had coitus with boyfriend
Unfortunately, his condom tore
On the 14 th Oct, I went to a pharmacy nearby to get an escapelle pill.
My concern is
I checked my period calendar and I ovulated on the 5 of October
Is the pill going to work since I’ve already ovulated or should I buy the plan B pill now?

Based on the above information, we understand your concern about the problems encountered. For your information, it is estimated that Escapelle will prevent 85% of pregnancies expected. 95% of pregnancies are expected to be prevented if taken within the first 24 hours, decreasing to 58% if taken between 48 hours and 72 hours after unprotected contact.

Escapelle is a contraceptive or contraceptive pill taken within 72 hours of sexual intercourse. It is not always harmful and has side effects but very rarely does it affect women. At least it will affect menstruation by whic you may have early or late period. However, if you take Escapelle too often, it will disrupt your menstrual cycle.

For women who have frequent sexual relationship, it is advisable to take preventive measures such as IUDs in addition to contraceptive pills to prevent long-term pregnancy.
