Based on the above information, we understand your concern about the problem you’re having. The normal menstrual cycle occurs every 24-38 days and lasts for 2 to 8 days. Menstrual cycles may be abnormal when the next menstrual cycle arrives later than 38 days. This can be caused by many things. These include:

  • Pregnancy
  • Ovulation problems
  • Fibroids and polyps
  • The condition in which the endometrium grows into the wall of the uterus
  • Bleeding disorders
  • Problems related to some methods of birth control, such as intrauterine (IUD) or contraceptive pills
  • Abortion
  • Ectopic pregnancy
  • Certain types of cancer, such as cervical cancer

To find out the exact cause of the problem you are facing, more information is needed before a conclusion can be drawn.
