Regulon birth control pills

I took 1 pack of Regulon birth control pills since 1/9 and didn’t stop for 7 days and continuously took second pack right after I finished the first because I wanted to skip my period. Now I’m on the middle of my second pack and I want to take the 7 days break. Can I do that? Would it be less effective? Can I in the middle of the pack for the 7 days break or must I finish the whole pack and then take the 7 days break? If I can stop in the middle, right after 7 days should I continue with the unfinished pack or start with a new pack?

Hello and good evening. Thank you for your inquiries.

For your information, taking Regulon birth pills continously and skipping the 7-day free period (for the sake of your menses) is allowed and it is something that women regularly do to improve its contraceptive effect. There is a high chance that you might miss your previous period if you continue to use the pill of a new pack and it does not reduce the effectiveness for birth control, rather enhances it.

However, the concern on having a 7-day free period during the middle of your second pack of Regulon pill is somewhat allowed, only if you wish to see your menstrual to flow again. Stopping the use of that pill on a 7-day free period is only for the sake for your menstrual cycle to be restarted again for the next cycle. If you wish to continue the pills after the 7-day period, using the same old pack or a new pack is fine either way, but make sure that you consume the tablets with the right dosage and keep track of the 21 days that you should consume the pill for the best effectiveness and reduce the risk for side effects and complications.
