Stunted physical growth

Hi Dr, my brother was diagnosed with kidney problem 5 years back when he was 11 years old. The urine tested showed +ve protein and the body looked bloated at the first diagnosis. The doctor then prescribed 12 tablets of prednisolone to be taken on a daily basis. The doctor reduced the medication when the protein in urine reduced to neutral or -tive sign. The problem is, his physical growth seemed stunted even though his age now is 16 years old. He still looks like 11 years old kid. Is there any possible method to make my brother grow normal like any other teenagers? He stopped taking the medicine for 2 years now. Thank you

Therefore, it is best for you or your parents to consult his doctor regarding this matter. You may also click on this link (DoctorOnCall) to speak with our doctors online.
