2 months old baby with lights

We understand that you are worried about your son focusing on lights since birth and you would like to know if this is normal. We will try to help you out.

It is normal for babies to stare at lights or fixate on any other objects in the first 6 months as their vision is still developing. This usually isn’t a sign of developmental abnormalities. At 2 months, your baby should be able to follow light, faces, and objects. If this continues for more than 6 months, we suggest you refer your son to a pediatrician to rule out some causes of developmental delay.
