We understand the problem you are currently experiencing. Based on your statement, there are several criteria which indicates you need to do the test. According to the Ministry of Health, close contact refers to either:

• Healthcare-associated exposure, including providing direct care for COVID-19 patients, working with health care workers infected with COVID-19, visiting patients or staying in the same close environment of a COVID-19 patient.
• Working together in close proximity or sharing the same classroom environment with a with COVID-19 patient
• Traveling together with COVID-19 patient in any kind of conveyance
• Living in the same household as a COVID-19 patient

For the time being, we advised you to do self quarantine and monitor your symptoms until his result came out. If he is tested positive, please do the test as soon as possible.

WHO listed common symptoms for COVID-19 infection as follows:

• Fever (more than 37.5 degrees Celcius)
• Fatigue
• Cough
• Aches and pains
• Sore throat
• Headaches
• Shortness of breath

I would also encourage you to contact the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) and answer this quiz on Risk Assessment for COVID-19 to evaluate their health status in regards to this disease. Other than that, do practice good hand hygiene and normalize wearing face mask in public.
