Waalaikumussalam, thank you for reaching out to us.

We understand your concern regarding your situation. There are few conditions where it can contribute to the mood symptoms you mentioned in the question section, which are:

  • Premenstrual symptom (PMS) itself due to hormonal changes in the body when it is near to menstruation time
  • Depression due to menstruation
  • Major depressive disorder
  • Bipolar disorder (expansive change in moods)

For your lower back pain, it could be related to your menstruation or period. However you have to be assessed by the doctors personally in order to know the cause of your back pain and your mood changes so that proper treatment can be given.

Furthermore, you can do these activities when you are having similar symptoms:

  • Deep breathing exercise
  • Meditation
  • Excercise often as this can keep your body in its shape and this could reduce your back pain issue
  • Do activities that you enjoy to keep your mood intact
  • Be around people that gives out positive energy or aura towards you

Other than that, if you have suicidal thoughts and tendency to hurt yourself, do talk about it with the person or people you trust or alternatively you can contact Befrienders and call their 24 hours Suicide Helpline at 03-76272929 personally and they are able to help you. Alternatively you can talk to our doctors at (DoctorOnCall) for online private consultation and help. Thank you.
