Tiny bumps/rashes and antibiotics

Hi, I was having persistent tiny itchy bump/pimples.rashes appearing at different times and various part of the body, limbs, hands, fingers and later stages in the scalp. Have gone to a few skin specialists but all diagnosed that I am old (I am 68)and at the age where I have dry skin and skin eczema. One specialist even diagnosed that I may have pet mites and allergy pets; then on subsequent sessions said I have human mites and prescribed Aoscabs Lotion treatment but none of these over the months ever help. Finally, consulted with an another specialist he said all the earlier conclusions were and that I have dry skin and at my age it is expected to have this. His prescription was to use plenty of QV kin lotion, use Cetaphil cleanser instead of normal soap and apply the Beprosone ointment whenever the itchy bumps/pimples appear. Have been using these for one and half years but the itchy bumps continual to appear. After months of living with these I met a friend who said that his sister has the same problem and took antibiotics and she has recovered fully. Out of desperation or vanity (cos my scalp was having bumps and it looks terrible), I decided to consult a doctor and request for antibiotics. Was given Betamox for 5 days. I could feel the difference even after two days taking the antibiotics. By the end of the course, the itchy pimples/bumps in my scalp has dried up and gone and so do the those on the rest of the body too. It was such a relief and I could sleep better with the itching. It is already about 2 weeks since and no sign of the bump/pimple/rashes. However. I am starting to see one or two appearing. Firstly, I really like to find out what is the root cause. Secondly, even without the root cause, I would like to ask whether I can or should start another course of antibiotics. If yes, should it be Betamox 500mg or something else. Your advice

We assume that whatever skin condition you are experiencing has to be related with a bacterial infection, given of your past history of using Betamox, an antibiotic.
