Non-stop wanting to vomit for a month

A 10 year old boy keep wanting to vomit for a month. He saw a doctor, did a lung x-ray, no problem but one month later symptom still persists. He lost some weight since a month ago and has asthma. What could be some of the problem as the doctor said he’s fine. He doesn’t vomit, just gag. Sorry for report, slight edit as wronly wrote coughing just now.

Through the question and statement you gave on the above section, i completely understand your concern over this matter. For your information, there a few causes that lead to child vomiting, which are:

  • gastroenteritis, a common infection of the gastrointestinal tract and vomiting is accompanied with diarrhea and last a few days
  • food allergy can cause vomiting and accompanied with other signs as itchy skin rash, swelling of the face, eyes, lips and tongue.
  • urinary tract infection, meningitis, pneumonia and middle ear infection
  • appendicitis is the painful swelling of the appendix.

If the child has these following symptoms advise you to seek medical attentionn immediately:

  • dehydrated
  • the vomit is green and contains blood
  • have been vomiting more than 2 days
