Sudden pain on left chest

Hi doctor, I just had a sharp pain on my left chest. Whenever I tried to inhale, it hurts so much but not when I exhale. Feels like I’m being stabbed with a sharp knife. Everytime this happened I got freaked out that I might die. This haven’t happened for like 5 months now but it came so suddenly. Fyi, I am currently diagnosed with scoliosis…does this causes the chest pain?
