No sign of vomit and can discharge from emergency. But they give a paper list of symptom. Next day kn 3 july, his teacher said that he vomit again at kindergarten. But not continuously, only once around 4.30pm. What should i do? Should i bring him to the hospital again? Because the symptom said that if vomit continuously .

Greetings. Thank you for your questions.

First and foremost, we truly understand your concerns regarding your child condition. It is true that, if your child is having continuous vomiting, it is a matter that should be brought to medical attention in fear of something dangerous as the result of fall before.

However, there is other causes that might contributing to your child’s symptom such as:

  • Gastroenteritis from infection of viruses or bacteria
  • Food poisoning
  • Overeating

Since your child had been vomiting once only, I would advice you to watch out on these symptoms and seek medical attention if there is:

  • repeatedly vomiting and is unable to hold down fluids
  • dehydrated – can include a dry mouth, crying without producing tears, not wetting many nappies, and drowsiness
  • their vomit is green or contains blood
  • they have been vomiting for more than a day or two
  • develops sudden and severe stomach ache
  • they’re floppy, not active, irritable or less responsive
