Greetings. Thank you for your questions.

First and foremost, we truly understand your concerns regarding your symptoms and other health problems you might be facing. From your complaints, I suggest you to see a doctor for physical examination and to get proper treatment considering the ringworm has gone worsen. Most ringworm of the skin can be treated with creams you can buy. Your rash may clear up soon after you start the treatment, but it’s important to keep using the cream for as long as your doctor says. This will help keep the infection from coming back or relapse. However, if the cream doesn’t work, your doctor can prescribe pills that will kill the fungus.

For your information, fluconazole medication is used to prevent and fight a variety of yeast and fungal infections. It belongs to a class of medication called azole groups. It acts by preventing the growth of certain types of yeast like candida for example.

Take this medication is taken orally with or without food as directed by your GP, usually once daily. If you are taking the liquid suspension form of this drugs, shake the bottle well before using each dose. It is good to measure the dose first using a special measuring thing like spoon. If can do not use a normal kitchen spoon because you may not get the correct dose.

Dosage is based on your health conditions, it is measured by your doctor based on your response to treatment. This medication acts best when the amount of drugs in your body is kept at a same level. Thus, consume it at the same time each day as per usual. Continue to take this oral medication until the full prescribed dosage is finished usually for 7-14 days, even if symptoms are gone within a few days.

Stopping the medication abruptly or too early can allow the yeast to continue to grow, which may result in a re occurrence of the infection. Report to your local GP if your symptoms persists or if it is getting worse.

The side effects for this medications include:-

  • nausea and vomiting
  • diarrhea
  • stomach pain
  • dizziness
  • headache
  • loss of hair
  • fainting
  • yellowing of eyes

A very serious allergic reaction to this medication rarely happens. But, get medical help straight away if you have any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction for example rash, itching, difficulty in breathing and any swellings.
