  • Heyy there and cheers for your kind question above. First of all, I’m sorry for the sad news, hopefully you are doing fine. It seems like you have done the screening part of the Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) tests. P24 test is used to determine whether the Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) antigen is presents in yourself or not.

  • If it is positive then it can considered that the person have Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. It is good for you to know a little bit more about Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) itself before going any further.

  • Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection does not have an absolute cure at the moment, but early diagnosis can allow for treatment with drugs called as an anti retroviral therapy (ART) that may help to decreases levels of virus in the body or called as viral load. It can helps your body to control against any infections and it can greatly improve your long term health.

  • People typically take at 3 three drugs combination of anti retro viral therapy from 2 different classes in order to minimise or prevent the virus replication and the emergence of a virus that cam resists against the drugs. Combinations of 3 or more anti retroviral medications are known to as HAART or highly active antiretroviral therapy.

  • There is currently no vaccine that protect against Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), but you can avoid a high risk activities for example having unprotected intercourse and sharing needles to prevent the spreading of the virus. Early detection of HIV infection as yours is vital to avoid its transmission to other people and to allow further investigation, monitoring, and early management of the patient. Good luck!

Do you know that your immune system plays role in the effectiveness of vaccines?
